Whitewater Rafting Trip Itinerary

Half Day Sport Raft - a BIG ride in a SMALL raft!

If you prefer smaller groups or want a more thrilling ride, our sport raft is the option for you! On this trip our small self-bailing rafts accommodate 4-6 people plus a guide. Because each paddler is closer to the water and more involved as a paddle crew member, sport rafts make each rapid, even the smaller ones, more exciting! Minimum age is 12

Check-in at Glacier Raft Company in the Village of West Glacier ½ hour prior to trip departure. Shuttle by bus to Moccasin Creek river access, 8 miles up river. Trip starts with brief trip description and safety talk by guides. Raft through the John Stevens Canyon of the middle fork of the flathead river along the southern border of Glacier National Park. Trip includes 9 named rapids, mostly Class II and III whitewater (medium whitewater with numerous waves, narrow passages, eddies and bends), including Tunnel and Jaws. Watch for our photographer at Bonecrusher and be sure to view your digital photos after the trip! The trip ends at the bridge in West Glacier where you will disembark from the raft with a short walk back to our office, your car and dry clothes, and a chance to purchase trip photos and souvenirs!

Wear shoes and clothing you don't mind getting wet (swimsuit or shorts and T-shirt in warm weather, fleece pullover in cool temperatures – avoid cotton) and have dry clothes in your car to change into after the trip. Bring only waterproof disposable cameras and water in plastic bottles.

Wetsuits, booties and splashgear provided at no additional charge – you WILL get WET! Helmets available on request.
