Greetings from West Glacier!

It's springtime in the Montana Rockies - the snow is melting off of the rugged peaks of Glacier National Park and that means one thing - raft and fishing season is right around the corner! Glacier Raft Company & Outdoor Center is excited to enter our 30th year in business and want to remind you to take advantage of our early booking offer.

Biking on the Going-to-the Sun Road

Gearing up for Summer - Take a Ride!
Plow crews on the historic Going-to-the-Sun Road continue to make headway toward Logan Pass. At the Outdoor Center, we are renting mountain bikes and getting ready for the summer season. The Outdoor Center is now open daily from 8 am to 5 pm.

It's an incredible time of year to experience the historic Sun Road - right now you can travel past the gate at Avalanche Creek and enjoy a bike ride to the Loop. The time is short to have the road to yourself, so take advantage of the spring weather and experience Glacier National Park via bicycle - it's a trip you won't forget. Beyond a great selection of Gary Fisher mountain bikes, as well as bike racks, the Outdoor Center has plenty of supplies to make your journey easier - everything from backpacks to bear spray. New gear continues to arrive every day!

Whitewater Raft Season is Almost Here Whitewater Raft season is right around the corner!

Everything is in order for raft trips and West Glacier is starting to come alive! There is a lot of activity as people get their businesses up and running. It's a fun time of year when we see more people in our quiet community. So far this spring, we have had beautiful warm days, amazing sunsets, and some good moisture making everything green. On the trout side, there has been intermittent good fishing on the Middlefork and Northfork, depending on water clarity and temperature. Our free casting clinics will begin in June prior to the heart of the true fly-fishing season.
