Multi Day Trips General
Information & Policies
Check in at Glacier Outdoor Center by 8:00 pm the
evening prior to your departure to pick up dry bags and for last minute trip
information. We are located under the giant log arch on the south side of US
Highway 2, 1/2 mile west of West Glacier. Check in time the day of your trip is
8:30 am. If you plan to leave home for an extended period of time before
arriving here for your trip, please call before you leave in case there are any
last minute changes we need to pass along to you.
HOW TO GET HERE:
If you don't
have your own transportation, you can fly into Glacier Park International
Airport in Kalispell, Montana. This airport is served by Delta, Horizon and
Northwest Airlines. West Glacier is 25 miles from the airport. Arrangements for
transportation from the airport can be made through Flathead-Glacier
Transportation Co. at (800)829-7039. Cost: $32.00 for the first passenger,
$2.00 each additional. If you are planning to pick up a rental car, we
recommend you have prior reservations. West Glacier is also accessible by
AMTRAK; the depot is located ½ mile from
glacier
outdoor center . If coming by train, make sure the agent knows you
want West Glacier or Belton--not East Glacier. That's on the other side of the
Park!
RESERVATIONS:

Our staff of rafting specialists is now available to
assist you with questions and advice, as well as make your reservation over the
phone during our business hours. For real-time availability, please feel free
to call our office staff at 1-800-235-6781.
Give us a call to confirm trip availability. A 50% per person deposit will
confirm your reservation. You may obtain immediate confirmation by using your
credit card to charge the deposit. We will hold your phone reservation for ten
(10) days pending receipt of a deposit check. Full payment is due 45 days prior
to trip departure. If a reservation is made less than 45 days prior to
departure, payment must be made in full.
CANCELLATIONS:
If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, please
notify us immediately. Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to trip
departure will receive a refund less 25% of trip total. Cancellations within 45
days are non-refundable but 75% of trip total may be applied to a trip within
the following year.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Although
every precaution is taken to safeguard you and your belongings, river trips by
their nature involve a certain amount of inherent risk. Glacier Raft Company
and its personnel shall assume no responsibility whatsoever for injuries,
damages, losses or delays to person or property. We recommend the purchase of
travel insurance. We require that you acknowledge and assume these risks by
reading and signing a liability release prior to departure. We are not
responsible for items left on premises.
