In Glacier Country, our playgrounds are forests, wilderness areas, lakes, streams, Glacier National Park and lots of other outdoor areas. Part of what makes Glacier Country a special kind of place is what it's missing: crowds, urban sprawl, pollution and the like.

Glacier National Park Glacier National Park and the Canadian Waterton Lakes National Park combine to form the world's first International Peace Park. The Park's historic Going-to-the-Sun Road winds through glacier-carved valleys, below towering peaks and across sub-alpine meadows at the Continental Divide. Wilderness and wildlife abound, including wolves that migrated naturally back to the area in the 1980s.

Blackfeet Indian Reservation (Browning) The Blackfeet Reservation is home to the Blackfeet tribe. Of the approximately 13,000 enrolled tribal members, there are 6,231 living on or near the reservation. Nearly 27 percent of enrolled members are of three-fourths or greater Indian blood. The Blackfeet Indians are commonly thought to have acquired their name because of the characteristic black color of their moccasins, painted or darkened with ashes. The reservation is made up of 1.5 million acres and is located east of Glacier Park. On the north it borders the Canadian Province of Alberta.
