Two Medicine Wade Fishing

The South Fork of the Two Medicine River offers good early season fishing in an area home to elk, deer, black bear and grizzly. This trip is for one who enjoys solitude and fishing small streams for large trout. As the water levels drop over the summer, these fish will move out of the South Fork and into the main Two Medicine River.
After checking in we drive to Marias Pass on Highway 2. This is the start of the easy 30 minute hike on the Lower Two Medicine trail (#138) to the lower canyon of the South Fork. The hike will give you great view of Glacier National Park as well as the Lewis and Clark National Forest through aspen groves and meadows filled with countless wildflowers.
The best gear for this river is a 3wt-5wt fly rod. The fish targeted are rainbow, cutthroats, brook trout and cuttbows on dry flies, streamers and nymphs.
All fishing trips depart from Glacier Outdoor Center. Check in 30 minutes prior to trip departure.
