Both the North and Middle Forks of the Flathead River are renowned for their abundance of the native Westslope cutthroat trout thriving in their crystal clear waters. One Day Fly Fishing School
This school provides you some of the best education and guidance Northwest Montana has to offer. Our professional guides are all licensed with the state of Montana and have fished these waters for many years.
The school includes great fishing and instruction. The morning is spent at our stocked trout pond focusing on the history of fly fishing, types of equipment, casting techniques, fly identification, knots, presentation, hatches, reading water and fish identification. This school is geared to getting you to a level where you feel confident to fly fish on your own. More Information

If you’re a beginner fly fisherman in search of a new passion or an experienced angler looking to get your fix, our stocked ponds offer great opportunities to chase big fish. Our Daily Pond Fishing trips also allow you to experience fine Montana fly fishing without investing in equipment or a state fishing license.

Cast and Raft
Why choose between a day of fishing or a day of rafting when you can do both? Our Cast & Raft trip is a morning of fly fishing on our private fishing ponds, a deli lunch prepared by your guide, and an exhilarating afternoon on the whitewater of the Middle Fork of the Flathead.
Our four private ponds are nestled in a secluded natural setting and routinely stocked with Westslope Cutthroat trout. You’ll fish for 3-4 hours and your guide will provide all necessary equipment including rods, reels, and flies.
Once you’ve finished your fishing excursion it’s time to hit the river! During the rafting portion of the trip you’ll enjoy class II-III rapids along the border of Glacier National Park and amazing views of Glacier’s gorgeous peaks. The rafting portion of the trip lasts 2-3 hours. More Information
Departs: This fishing portion of the Cast & Raft departs from Glacier Outdoor Center at 8:30 am. The rafting portion of the Cast & Raft departs from our Glacier Raft Company office, in the village of West Glacier, for the 1:30 whitewater or 2:00 scenic float.

Wade Fishing on the Two Medicine
The Two Medicine area is home to elk, deer, black bear and grizzly. The hike will give you great view of Glacier National Park as well as the Lewis and Clark National Forest through aspen groves and meadows filled with countless wildflowers. This trip is for one who enjoys solitude and fishing small streams for large trout. As the water levels drop over the summer, these fish will move out of the South Fork and into the main Two Med.
After checking in we drive to Marias Pass on Highway 2. This is the start of the easy 30 minute hike on the Lower Two Medicine trail (#138). The hike takes us into the lower canyon of the South Fork. More Information

The Thompson River is located west of Kalispell, about an hour and a half from West Glacier. The Thompson River is a free flowing river and houses almost every type of trout. It flows into the Clark Fork River and has rainbow, brown and cutthroat. More Information

These rivers have one of the nation’s largest remaining populations of native Westslope cutthroat trout, along with other fish like rainbow trout and mountain whitefish. After an exciting day of fishing, as your guide is preparing a hearty gourmet dinner, you can relax around the campfire and tell a few tales. If your arm isn’t worn out from casting all day, you can wander down to the bank for a little evening fishing. Sweet Grass Hills Lake Fly Fishing
The four lakes are located near the Sweet Grass Hills in Blackfeet Country East of the Continental Divide and range from 10-20 acres. The lakes are located on a privately owned ranch with fishing as good as the Blackfeet Reservation. There is a great first timer pond located near the cabins for overnight trips.
There are many wildlife viewing opportunities as well as beautiful scenery that includes rolling hills and buttes. There are also opportunities to find arrowheads. Fishing at these lakes is shore based but we may also use float tubes. You will be fishing for kamloops rainbow and brook trout using dry lines and sinking lines. You may also use lake lines and intermediate sink lines. More Information
